I hope the new publisher is taking a different stance, and I seriously hope to be proven that my information is dated/their policy has changed. This is just a warning to those who are interested in the game. I don't care about your stance on P2W mechanics or my clear bias. Hell, some of the best combo potentials for each class REQUIRED you to have a full set of certain cosmetics to have the attack speed required to pull them off. There is skill required to pull off some of the insane pvp combos with each class, but you will need to buy cosmetics (which have RNG based stat bonuses, unless otherwise stated) to stay ahead. I played a LOT of the original game, but Nexon killed that off years ago. I personally will be passing on the re-release. The prices aren't out yet, but it sure isn't a good sign. The new publisher still has to make a living off this game, to keep it running. The game is still going to run on the same pay to win microtransaction/"cosmetic" system the old one did. The only difference between this version and the old version is the publisher changed. They're already selling/advertising stat boosting cosmetics in the DLC section. (Which I read may have changed, god I hope so.) This doesn't factor in the money sink/RNG equipment enhancement system. Every cosmetic item had multiple functions (+crit, +damage, +atsp, etc.) and multiple variations. To those who never played the original DFO, it was a fun skill based PVP fighter with TONS of pay to win transactions.
